Diigo vs del.icio.us.

I do like the way del.icio.us. simplifies bookmarking pages and I also like the ability to find what others are bookmarking that are following things of similar interest.  However, after researching Diigo, I am so impressed with all of the technology that can be incorporated.  Diigo allows you to access it from a variety of devices, uses digital highlights and sticky notes.  It also allows for active e-reading and is interactive.  I will definitely us Diigo going forward.

  1. I too was impressed with all of the information that is out there! I was excited with del.icio.us., but then tutorial on Diigo added in so many new components. Social bookmarking is a new area to me, since I am use to only saving sites within my favorites tab on my own computer.

  2. I haven't played with the groups in Diigo much yet to see if I can locate people with similar interest, but it does add the ability to create these groups which are more informal in delicious. That would be a useful feature. Either is a step up from the Favorite in the browser.
